The art gallery is a meeting place for everyone, to experience and be inspired by contemporary art. 5. Gamla Rådhuset (Old Town Hall) – is Lidköping’s most iconic building and is located in the centre of Nya Stadens torg. The building was originally Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie’s hunting lodge on Kållandsö, and was later relocated to the town. 5. Nya Stadens torg – is one of the largest market squares in Europe, with weekly markets every Wednesday and Saturday all year round. 6. Limtorget – escaped the fire that destroyed the Old Town in 1849 and consequently is the oldest surviving part of Lidköping. 7. St. Nicolai Church – in central Lidköping and dates in part from the late 15th century. It is now a stately and attractive church. 8. Stadsträdgården (city park) – offers an oasis filled with attractive flower beds, grassy expanses and play areas. In summer, there are performan- ces to enjoy on the stage. 4. Kunsthalle Lidköping – Hier werden erstklassige Ausstellungen nationaler und internationaler Künstlerinnen und Künstler gezeigt. Ursprüng- lich diente es Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie als Jagdschloss auf Kållandsö, bevor es in die Stadt verlegt wurde. 5. Nya Stadens Torg – Der Platz, auf dem ganzjährig mittwochs und samstags ein großer Markt statt- findet, gehört zu den größten Plätzen Europas. 6. Platz Limtorget – Blieb beim Brand der Altstadt 1849 verschont und ist damit der älteste erhaltene Teil von Lidköping. 7. Kirche St. Nicolai – stattliche, prächtige Kirche im Zentrum von Lidköping, die noch Teile aus dem späten 15. Jahrhundert aufweist. 8. Stadtpark – eine Oase aus herrlichen Bepflan- zungen, Grünflächen und Spielplätzen. Im Sommer wird auf der Bühne ein buntes Programm geboten.
