www.lackokinnekulle.se •  13 Läckö Gästabud är ett unikt evenemang och finns bara på Läckö Slott Schloß Läckö, täglich geöffnet 28.4-30.9 Das am Ufer des Vänersees gelegene Schloss Läckö geht bis auf das Mit- telalter zurück. Bereits im Jahre 1298 legte hier der Bischof von Skara, Brynolf Algotsson, den Grundstein zu einer befestigten Burg. Eine Zeit lang spielte Schloss Läckö nur eine unbedeutende Rolle; erst als der Feldherr Graf Jacob De la Gardie im Jahre 1615 Läckö als Darlehen übernahm, gewann es wieder an Bedeutung. Graf Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie übernahm das Schloss im Alter von 30 Jahren. Im Jahre 1654 wurden auf Läckö große Bauarbeiten eingeleitet. So wurde die Vorburg mit neuen Räumen versehen, die Küchenburg wurde erbaut und der Bau der Schlosskirche wurde durch Magnus Gabriel eingeleitet. Schloss Läckö ist als sagenumwobenes De la Gardie-Schloss berühmt. Sängerfest im Hof 10-11.8 Läckö Castle, open daily 28/4-30/9 Läckö Castle is best known as the De la Gardie’s magnificent baroque palace standing on a rocky peninsula in Lake Vänern, but parts of the building we see today are much older. Brynolf Algotsson, Bishop of Skara, laid the foundations of the first castle as early as 1298. The castle was confiscated from the church and taken over by the crown after the reformation in 1527. It was granted to Field Marshal Count Jacob De la Gardie in 1615 for services to the nation. His son Magnus Gabriel was only thirty when he took over the title and estates. He began an extensive extension of the buildings in 1654, which included new rooms for his staff in the first court, a new kitchen wing, a fourth floor on the old keep and the castle chapel. Even if parts of the castle bear signs of its mediaeval past, it is essentially Magnus Gabriel’s palace we see today.
